Kunjungan Hormat Presiden Alumni Graduan Institusi Korea (AGIKO) Kepada Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa Dan Industri Malaysia (MITI)

KUALA LUMPUR – RABU, 26 Jun 2019 – Delegasi kepimpinan Alumni Graduan Institusi Korea (AGIKO) yang diketuai oleh presidennya Encik Zamri bin Abbas telah mengadakan sesi Kunjungan Hormat kepada Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri Malaysia yang bertempat di Menara MITI di Kuala Lumpur.

Antara objektif utama sesi ini adalah seperti berikut:

  • memperkenalkan barisan Exco AGIKO yang baru dilantik;
  • memaklumkan dan menerangkan cadangan AGIKO berhubung penubuhan Mara Korea Institute (MKI) dengan perancangan program 2 tahun dijalankan di MKI dan 3 tahun dijalankan di Korea Selatan;
  • memaklumkan dan menerangkan cadangan AGIKO berhubung penubuhan Malaysia Korea Technical Institute (MKTI) dengan perancangan program 2 tahun dijalankan di MKTI dan 3 tahun dijalankan di Korea Selatan;
  • menjelaskan matlamat penubuhan MKI dan MKTI bagi melestarikan program “Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)” sejajar dengan keperluan “IR4.0” (Revolusi Perindustrian Keempat / The Fourth Industrial Revolution), iaitu cetusan revolusi yang melibatkan Internet of Things (IoT);
  • memaklumkan hasrat AGIKO untuk menjadi sumber rujukan utama untuk segala polisi /program berkaitan dengan Korea Selatan seperti mendorong dan menggalakkan kerjasama teknikal dalam bidang teknologi industri dan pembuatan antara dua Negara selaras dengan Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) yang telah ditandatangani antara MITI dan Ministry of Trade, Investment and Energy Korea Selatan (MOTIE) pada bulan Mei yang lalu
  • membincangkan berhubung program kerjasama antara MITI, SIRIM dan AGIKO untuk dibentangkan semasa mesyuarat di antara MITI dan MOTIE di Korea pada 19 Julai 2019 di Korea Selatan. MITI akan mengambil tugas untuk mencari rakan kerjasama Korea Selatan untuk penubuhan MKI dan MKTI di Malaysia manakala AGIKO pula akan menyediakan platform untuk kerjasama teknikal antara Korea Selatan dan Malaysia. SIRIM akan bertindak sebagai rakan kongsi strategik/ penasihat untuk AGIKO

Diharapkan usaha murni ini membuahkan hasil dan dapat memberi manfaat yang besar kepada seluruh warga Malaysia.

President of the Korean Institution Graduate Alumni Association (AGIKO) visit to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI)

KUALA LUMPUR – Wednesday, 26th June 2019 – The leadership committee of Korea  Institution Graduate Alumni Association (AGIKO) led by the President, Mr. Zamri bin Abbas had paid a visit to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia here in Kuala Lumpur.

The main objectives of this visit are:

  • To introduce the newly appointed AGIKO’s Executive Committee (Exco) members
  • To introduce and explain on AGIKO’s plan to establish Mara Korea Institute (MKI) with 2-year program in MKI and 3-year program in South Korea
  • To introduce and explain on AGIKO’s plan to establish Malaysia Korea Technical Institute (MKTI) with 2-year program in MKI and 3-year program in South Korea
  • To explain the reason behind the establishment of MKI and MKTI which to pursue the government’s “Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)” program in line with “IR4.0” (The Fourth Industrial Revolution) that relates to Internet of Things (IoT);
  • To convey the intention of AGIKO to be the main source of reference for all policies or programs related to South Korea such as to thrust and encourage the technical collaboration between the two countries in industrial and manufacturing fields aligned with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed between MITI and South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Investment and Energy (MOTIE) last May.
  • To discuss the cooperation between MITI, SIRIM and AGIKO which to be presented during the meeting between MITI and MOTIE in Korea on 19th July 2019. MITI will take the task to find the collaboration partner of South Korea for the establishment of MKI and MKTI in Malaysia while AGIKO will prepare the platform for technical collaboration between South Korea and Malaysia. SIRIM will action as the strategic partner or advisor for AGIKO.

We strongly hope that all these efforts will be fruitful and can hugely benefit all Malaysians.
