Kunjungan Hormat Presiden Alumni Graduan Institusi Korea (AGIKO) Kepada Yb Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun, Menteri Pembangunan Luar Bandar

PUTRAJAYA – ISNIN, 24 Jun 2019 – Delegasi kepimpinan Alumni Graduan Institusi Korea (AGIKO) yang diketuai oleh presidennya Encik Zamri bin Abbas telah mengadakan sesi Kunjungan Hormat kepada YB Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun, Menteri Pembangunan Luar Bandar bertempat di Pejabat Menteri Pembangunan Luar Bandar, Putrajaya. 

Antara objektif utama sesi ini adalah seperti berikut:

  • memperkenalkan barisan Exco AGIKO yang baru dilantik;
  • memaklumkan dan menerangkan cadangan AGIKO berhubung penubuhan Mara Korea Institute (MKI) dengan perancangan program 2 tahun dijalankan di MKI dan 3 tahun dijalankan di Korea Selatan;
  • memaklumkan hasrat AGIKO untuk mengadakan usahasama dengan Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) berkenaan dengan Mara Korea Institute (MKI);
  • menjelaskan matlamat penubuhan MKI bagi melestarikan program “Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)” sejajar dengan keperluan “IR4.0” (Revolusi Perindustrian Keempat / The Fourth Industrial Revolution), iaitu cetusan revolusi yang melibatkan Internet of Things (IoT);
  • dengan penubuhan MKI kelak dapat mencernakan budaya kerja masyarakat Korea untuk diterapkan kepada generasi muda Malaysia, agar lebih patriotik (setianegara), berdisiplin, taat kepada majikan, berkemahiran tinggi, produktif dan inovatif demi pembangunan bangsa dan negara; 
  • AGIKO mencadangkan Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara (KKTM) yang terletak di Petaling Jaya, Selangor untuk dinaiktaraf kepada MKI agar pelaksanaannya dapat disegerakan dengan kos yang efektif dan memberi impak yang tinggi. KKTM ini adalah di bawah bidang kuasa Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA); dan
  • membincangkan berhubung cadangan penubuhan Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) Teknikal Korea yang berperanan sebagai tempat persediaan untuk pelajar dari tingkatan 1 hingga tingkatan 5 sebelum melanjutkan pelajar di Malaysia Korea Technical Institute (MKTI) / MKI dan seterusnya ke Korea di bawah program Mara.

Diharapkan usaha murni ini membuahkan hasil dan dapat memberi manfaat yang besar kepada seluruh warga Malaysia.

President of the Korean Institution Graduate Alumni Association (AGIKO) visit to Minister of Rural Development, YB Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun     

PUTRAJAYA – Monday, 24th June 2019 – The leadership committee of Korea  Institution Graduate Alumni Association (AGIKO) led by the President, Mr. Zamri bin Abbas had paid a visit to the Minister of  Rural Development, YB Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun at her office in Putrajaya today.

The main objectives of this visit are:

  • To introduce the newly appointed AGIKO’s Executive Committee (Exco) members
  • To introduce and explain on AGIKO’s plan to establish Mara Korea Institute (MKI) with 2-year program in MKI and 3-year program in South Korea
  • To introduce and explain on AGIKO’s plan to establish Malaysia Korea Technical Institute (MKTI) with 2-year program in MKI and 3-year program in South Korea
  • To explain the reason behind the establishment of MKI and MKTI which to pursue the government’s “Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET)” program in line with “IR4.0” (The Fourth Industrial Revolution) that relates to Internet of Things (IoT);
  • With the establishment of MKI, we can instill the positive work ethic of South Korean people to the young generation of Malaysia thereby to be more patriotic, highly disciplined, dutiful to employers, highly skilled, productive and innovative for the development of the nation.
  • AGIKO proposes Mara High Skills College (KKTM) located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor to be upgraded to MKI so that its implementation can be accelerated at a cost effective and high impact. The KKTM is under the jurisdiction of the People’s Trust Council (MARA); and
  • To discuss the proposal for the establishment of the Korean Technical Primary College (MRSM which serves as a preparatory place for students from grades 1 through 5 before furthering study at MKTI / MKI and later on to Korea under the MARA program.
